On Saturday, Cape Cod will turn green celebrating St Patrick’s Day. On this day, the Sons of Erin Cape Cod will be entering a float in the Parade and we need marchers to walk the two-mile parade route behind our float. In recent years, the numbers of marchers have been scarce so please come show your SOECC Irish pride and join in on the fun by marching in the parade. At 8:30AM an Irish breakfast will be served prior to the parade and we will have a bus leaving the club at 9:30AM transporting members to the starting line.
After the parade, we will have corned beef sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken fingers and French fries available all of which can be washed down with the beverage of your choice. The bar will be well stocked. We will have entertainment from 1:00PM – 10:00PM and during the day various bag pipe bands and Irish Step dancers will be performing in the club. A reminder that each member can only bring in two guests (spouses who are not members are considered a guest) and guests will have to pay a $10 cover charge.
We encourage all members to come, enjoy the day and support the Sons. Just remember be safe and take advantage of the free taxi service that will be available in Yarmouth.
